Various chemical and physical pathways to disperse nano-sized particles in the polymer matrix have been developed to prepare novel nanocomposites with high electrical/thermal conducting properties. Several important polymers (such as cellulose, polyaniline, nylon 6, hydrogels) have been studied for matrix polymers to demonstrate the synergetic effects of the small amount of nanoparticles to the composites.
